Watch: ROCK Green Streams

Pennybacker Bridge, Austin, Texas

In the framework of the ROCK EU funded project, EUROCITIES and Julie’s Bicycle launched “ROCK Green Streams”, a series of inspiring talks and presentations on how cities reduce the environmental impact of cultural events. Cities are uniquely placed in the race against climate change, and culture can build resilience for change to come and lead cities to a more sustainable future. This series promotes what cities are already doing to adapt culture to projected climatic changes, showcasing how culture contributes to the European Green Deal and Sustainable Development Goals.

Episode 1: Governance, connection and networks for greener events

Episode 2: Greener culture is possible

Episode 3: Communicating change

ROCK is a European Union Horizon 2020-funded project focusing on historic city centres as extraordinary laboratories to demonstrate how Cultural Heritage can be a unique and powerful engine of regeneration, sustainable development and economic growth for the whole city. Find out more here and visit their website here.

ROCK ran from May 2017 to April 2020. This project received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, under grant agreement No 730280.
