The sector is uniquely placed to influence and create the conditions for profound change, that places equity at its heart.<\/p>\n<p>Designed for Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisations (NPOs) and Investment Principle Support Organisations (IPSOs), the <strong>Board Environmental Champions Programme<\/strong> will enable Boards (or their equivalent) to embed environmental responsibility within their organisations at governance level. It will support them to step up their sustainability plans, reduce their environmental impact, and inspire peers and audiences at a time when it is most needed.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>About Board Environmental Champions<\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Acknowledging that Boards Members are often short of time, the programme is designed to be <strong>self-paced<\/strong>, <strong>inspiring<\/strong> and <strong>light-touch<\/strong>. It will support Board Members to become environmental champions, building their knowledge, skills and confidence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This free programme is a simple training and peer-networking opportunity for cultural organisations:<\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>To put in place effective Board Environmental Champions\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>To support best practice in governance and leadership<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is designed in consultation with the sector to:<\/span><b><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><b>Upskill Boards to confidently support their organisation to deliver the Arts Council England&#8217;s Environmental Responsibility Investment Principle\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Inspire their ambition<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Be focused on governance, not management<\/b><\/li>\n<li><b>Be light-touch and practical\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is available to all cultural organisations within the NPO and IPSO portfolio who have a governing body, such as a Board, advisory group or organisations need to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Identify a Board Environmental Champion<\/li>\n<li>Identify a senior leadership representative for them to liaise with<\/li>\n<li>Sign up via the online registration form below<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The programme is now open for registration.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once the programme is launched, organisations and Board Environmental Champions that have signed up to participate can download and use the scheme logo.<\/p>\n<p>After the initial launch, organisations can continue to join the programme at any point.<\/p>\n\n                <div
