Across the world, artists and arts organisations are mobilising around the climate crisis and discovering a deeper connection to the planet. This in-conversation event, chaired by Alison Tickell, founder and CEO of Julie\u2019s Bicycle, explores the vital role that arts and culture must play in climate transformation.<\/p>\n

Composed of artists, activists and environmental experts \u2013 including author, Elif Shafak<\/strong>; artist and designer Es Devlin<\/strong>; Friday’s For Future India co-founder, Disha A. Ravi<\/strong>; polar conservationist and PhD student Prem Gill<\/strong>; and Nova Ruth<\/strong>, founder of Arka Kinari; \u2013 the discussion will centre on creative and cultural responses to the climate crisis and art\u2019s unique capacity to raise awareness and create action. With Love Ssega<\/strong> (musician and EarthPercent ambassador) as MC, performances from poets Selina Nwulu<\/strong>; and Zena Edwards<\/strong>; and musician Nova Ruth;<\/strong> and scientist, IPCC author and creator of the ubiquitous climate stripes, Ed Hawkins.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alongside the conversation, a short film showcasing artists and activists from around the world, sharing their messages for COP26, will premier. This event is delivered with thanks to partnerships with the British Council and Arts Council England.<\/p>\n

Join us to hear how creativity can inspire communities and individuals to participate in reshaping the world, to imagine a sustainable and just future and support adaptation and resilience.<\/p>\n
