Sylvia has over 20 years business experience, with a specialist focus on accounting, financial management and controls, financial systems implementation, governance and compliance. This experience has been gained in different companies of small, medium and large size within the private and the charity/non-profit sector.
She enjoys taking small ethical businesses and interesting organisations from financial chaos to sanity, and helping them to stay that way, supporting growth or helping in time of crises. She brings , the technical skills and the problem-solving ability derived from working in senior financial positions, combined with a ‘hands-on approach’, ensuring the deadlines are met and making finance understandable to the non-specialists
She joined Julies Bicycle in 2015 and witnessed the growth and development of the organization. She qualified as accountant in Italy in 1991 (CIMA equivalent) and worked in Italy, France and in the UK since 2001.
