We Make Tomorrow Progress Report

As we count down to COP30 in Belém, We Make Tomorrow continues to unite the global cultural community in calling for culture to be recognised within climate policy.
With over 200,000 voices from more than 100 countries, the movement connects artists, cultural organisations, and heritage leaders to demonstrate how creativity drives real climate action.
This call gained major momentum at MONDIACULT 2025 in Barcelona – UNESCO’s cultural policy summit – where Ministers of Culture from over 50 countries and 23 knowledge partners, including JB, reaffirmed their commitment to embedding culture in climate action. The Barcelona Declaration and UNESCO’s new report Culture and Climate Action: From Margins to Mainstream underscored the growing recognition that culture is essential to global climate strategies.
From the Global Call and the Culture & Climate Map to on-the-ground activities at COP30, We Make Tomorrow is building momentum towards a just and sustainable world where culture is central to climate solutions.
“Across the globe, culture is shaping responses to the climate, nature and justice crises.”
