The AI Balance: Climate, Creativity & Choice
November 27 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
AI is fast becoming a household term, evolving faster than we can keep up. But what forms of AI are we actually engaging with in the cultural sector, and what does this mean for us and the planet? If you are a creative freelancer, join us for an online session that starts to look into how we use AI today. We’ll explore some of the climate impacts, the creative and ethical trade-offs of diving into AI or stepping back from it, and hear from artists who have evolved their practice after engaging with AI.
Register your interest by Monday 24th November. Limited places on a first come first first-served basis. Please only join if your work is predominantly freelance in the cultural sector.
Who this session is for?
This session is designed for creative freelancers in the cultural sector e.g., artists, curators, producers, designers, directors, community creatives, photographers, musicians, poets, film-makers, and similar roles.
It is not suitable for organisations (e.g. NPOs, regularly funded organisations, or academic researchers). We may run a separate session tailored to organisations or institutions in the future.
If you are a creative freelancer, please register your interest below. We will be in touch with details and links closer to the event. If we reach capacity, registrations will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis. Should there be significant interest, we may organise an additional session.
