Hannah recently joined Julie’s Bicycle to manage the Arts Council England programme. With 15 years of experience in the cultural sector, she has worked across various creative fields, including festivals, museums, galleries, performing and visual arts, and literature.
Having initially trained in Theatre Arts, Hannah strongly believes in the power of storytelling to foster connection and empathy, reflecting on social, historical and contemporary issues and contemplating alternative futures. Her previous creative endeavours include writing and devising for performance, curation, and workshop facilitation. A key focus of Hannah’s expertise lies in designing and producing high impact arts programs for social change and place-based transformation. She has specialised in community co-creation, promoting accessibility and inclusion, and nurturing artist development.
In 2019, Hannah joined the UK City Of Culture as a creative producer and later led the Green Futures initiative. Through this programme, she brought together creatives, local government, universities, businesses and charitable organisations to address the impacts of the environmental crisis through an arts-driven approach. Her work connected UK artists and communities with counterparts from around the globe, inspiring creativity and collaboration in building an inclusive, sustainable and hopeful future.
