Marina joined Julie’s Bicycle in June 2022 as a Sustainability Coordinator working in the Digital Team supporting the development of the tools. Her previous work has consisted of working with local authorities across England and Wales in enabling the delivery of large-scale retrofit projects and fuel poverty schemes. Marina’s work mainly revolved around improving the energy efficiency of the private rented sector and social housing sector housing stock, prioritising the principle of “worst first” and targeting the help towards the most vulnerable citizens.
Marina also hold an MSc in Sustainable Energy and Entrepreneurship from the University of Nottingham. Her research was focused around the theoretical deployment of exterior shutters in social housing as both insulation and shading devices in a social, economical and technical context.
