Ruby ensures JB’s work and opportunities reach the right audiences, she leads on public advocacy including JB’s campaign for a Just and Green Cultural Recovery, and leads on the production of major events like the flagship We Make Tomorrow summits.
Following an undergraduate degree in Fine Arts, Ruby spent 4 formative years as Operations and Events Manager looking after the social enterprise community and staff team whilst coordinating a sustainable events programme for Impact Hub KX. Since 2013, she has been managing events, operations and supporter engagement for various human rights charities including Citizens UK, Unicef UK and ICAHD.
She has implemented Environmental Management Systems based on ISO14001 to measure and improve organisational impact, and has a Postgraduate Diploma in Sustainability & Adaptation Planning from UEL. Ruby is a mentor for young women starting out in their sustainability careers with Catalyse Change, and was a London Regional Associate for the Arts Marketing Association 2021 – 2022. She is a member, volunteer and former Trustee for the Rural Urban Synthesis Society (RUSS) Community Land Trust based in south London, with the mission of creating sustainable neighbourhoods and genuinely affordable homes.
Interested in community organising and the overlap between social justice and the climate crisis, she joined JB as Marketing & Events Manager in Oct 2018.
