The Power of Art

The Stockton International Riverside Festival (SIRF) is an annual free outdoor arts and street theatre festival in Stockton-on-Tees. Through a partnership with Julie’s Bicycle, they are looking at how they and other festivals can take environmental action and reduce their impacts. This case study has been produced as part of this work.

In this short video case study, digital and interactive media company squidsoup discuss the Power of Art project, a research and development project into off-grid renewable energy solutions for art installations. Creative Director, Hannah Brady, and Technical Manager, Dan Sutton-Pearson, talk to us about what was involved, what they learned and the future of the creative community in tackling the climate crisis.
