Board of Trustees

Julie’s Bicycle is seeking an outstanding Chair, Treasurer, and new Trustees to join our Board and help lead our pioneering not-for-profit organisation mobilising the arts and culture to take action on the climate, nature, and justice crisis.

Working closely with CEO and Founder Alison Tickell, Managing Director Laura Pando, and a committed team, our Board provides strategic vision, governance, and advocacy – championing the role of culture in creating a fair, sustainable future.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience in climate change, policy, diplomacy, or finance, and who share our commitment to justice, inclusion, and the power of culture to drive change.

Programme Manager and Training Facilitator

Julie’s Bicycle is seeking an experienced, highly organised professional to take on a pivotal role leading the coordination and delivery of two of Julie’s Bicycle’s flagship international training programmes. It demands a blend of exceptional project management expertise and a passion for supporting and facilitating transformative climate action within the cultural sector.

Contract: Full time, 1 year contract (preferably January to December 2026)

Travel: Applicants may be required to do infrequent travel

Location: Hybrid working: office base is at Somerset House, London: we are flexible on approach, within a hybrid model of in-person & virtual. This can be discussed at interview (*) 

Salary: £34k to £38k p.a., depending on level of experience and knowledge 

Reporting to: Head of Programmes

Start date: ASAP – depending on candidate’s notice period 

Normal hours: Working hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm, Monday – Friday 

(requests for flexible working hours will be considered, including requests to work 80% FTE)

Finance Manager

Julie’s Bicycle is seeking an experienced and hands-on professional who can contribute to the organisation’s financial strategy and future resilience. This is a senior leadership role within the Operations and Finance function, where you will be working closely with the Managing Director, Head of Programmes, CEO, and Treasurer, providing the essential financial intelligence needed to guide key organisational decisions.

Contract: Preferably 0.8 FTE (Full-time also considered for the right candidate), 1 year contract with the possibility to become permanent

Location: Hybrid working: office base is at Somerset House, London: we are flexible on approach, within a hybrid model of in-person & virtual. This can be discussed at interview (*) 

Salary: £50k to £55k p.a. (pro rata), depending on experience

Reporting to: Managing Director

Start date: ASAP – depending on candidate’s notice period 

Normal hours: Office hours are 9.30 – 5.30pm, Monday – Friday. As this is ideally a 0.8 FTE role, there is flexibility on how the time is spread across the week. Please state how you would intend to allocate your time when you apply.
