Sian is a senior management consultant in the arts and culture sector working with organisations such as Wiltshire Creative, The Place, Art Fund, Artangel, tiata fahodzi, Charleston, LIFT, Birmingham Rep and the Kiln Theatre. She was previously Executive Director of the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre (2015 – 2021), Executive Director of the Bush Theatre (2012-2014) and Associate Director for Theatre at Julie’s Bicycle (2010-2013). She was Head of Theatre for Arts Council England from 2000-2010.
Previously, Sian has worked for a range of performing arts companies, producing and touring theatre and contemporary dance in the UK and overseas. She was the Executive Director of Siobhan Davies Dance Company, Manager for Michael Clark Company, Manager for Aletta Collins Dance Company and Manager for Laurie Booth.
She is Chair of Chiswick House and Gardens Trust, a trustee of the Rose Theatre, Kingston and was previously Chair of Trustees for Frantic Assembly (2010 2020), trustee of the Gate Theatre (2015 – 2023), Vice Chair of the London Theatre Consortium, and on the advisory board of artist collective non zero one. Sian became a Clore Fellow in 2006 and served as a London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham Climate & Ecological Emergency Commissioner throughout 2020.
